PROGRAMS

Wellness retreats, Serenity Yoga Retreat , and Goddess Wellness Retreat are just a few of our retreats we offer. The purpose of Living Beauty’s activities for women is to provide them with hope for the future, and the development of skills and healthy habits that will assist them in their cancer journey. In addition, The Living Beauty Cancer Foundation believes that a community of women can organically support one another and that women who have a strong support structure achieve better health outcomes. We believe that women empowering and encouraging one another are a critical part of healing.

The Living Beauty Cancer Foundation offers women with cancer a comprehensive offering of wellness activities designed to assist them in the healing process. Facilitated by experts in their field, Living Beauties are provided with a vast array of programs like Yoga 4 Cancer, nutrition, mindfulness, meditation and more to help them strengthen both their bodies and their spirits. One-on-one support in energy healing, essential oils, nutritional guidance and more allow women to focus on their specific needs in a private, nurturing setting. In addition, women are provided with ongoing opportunities to develop community with other women along the same path.

All of our services, whether in-person or online, are free for our Living Beauties. Our in-person events are currently located in California but are open to women from all over the country.

WELLNESS RETREATS

Our “signature” programs are Wellness Retreats. These retreats are 3-4 day journeys that transport our participants out of the everyday challenges of coping with cancer into a peaceful environment that provides them with opportunities to explore holistic healing modalities while developing a sense of community with other women along the same path. From our special healthy menus, educational workshops and classes that include yoga, guided meditation, art therapy and nature walks, as well as community-building activities, every aspect of their stay on a retreat envelops Living Beauties with compassionate care. Some examples of our retreats include:

Goddess Wellness Retreat

Living Beauties are introduced to the holistic lifestyle through workshops and classes at the Goddess Wellness Retreat. From the very first day, Living Beauties experience an immersion into a world of healing through education, nature, nourishment and sisterhood.
Serenity Yoga Retreat

At this retreat, Living Beauties are guided in gentle and restorative y4c (Yoga4Cancer) yoga. The goal of this retreat experience is aimed toward overall wellness in mind, body and spirit by way of yoga, meditation, education and nourishment. Set in a beautiful retreat environment, the Serenity Yoga Retreat is ideal for personal healing and rejuvenation.
HeArt Healing Retreat

The HeArt Healing Retreat is an intimate gathering of Living Beauties who are invited to go deep within and focus on love for themselves and in their connections with others. Living Beauties are able to explore art and personal narrative as tools for emotional wellness.
Soul Nourishment Retreat

Nourishment. “It’s a word we use to describe what food can do for our body, but it’s also used to describe what we get from relationships with others, with our family and with ourselves. It can describe joys, pleasure and all things that contribute to our health and well-being and a place of belonging and fullness.” – Living Beauty Facilitator Caspar Poyck. Although the focus of this retreat is on the nourishment of our bodies through nutritional workshops, Living Beauties come away with peaceful minds and rejuvenated souls.
Day Retreats

Day Retreats are one-day snapshots of our wellness retreats, usually located in the greater Los Angeles area. Mind, Body and Soul are awakened and strengthened so that our Living Beauties can continue their courageous journeys.

INTEGRATIVE THERAPY WORKSHOPS

Education is a vital part of the holistic model we embody. Living Beauties are introduced to various healing modalities that beautifully complement their traditional treatment plans.

ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT

One-on-one energy healing sessions allow Living Beauties to experience different energy healing modalities such as Reiki and are designed to address their individual needs.

SISTERHOOD SUPPORT EVENTS

Sisterhood Support Events are another way we respond to the needs of Living Beauties. These programs give women an opportunity to share in each other’s concerns, celebrate milestones and create a sisterhood bond.
